Starting on the 16th September 2025, Nottingham Trent University’s successful Women as Transformational Leaders course is now open for applications, providing an opportunity for women currently working in or towards leadership and management roles to build on their skills and knowledge.
It covers topics such as goal setting; development planning and career management; how management and leadership deliver value to SMEs; women as leaders; the importance of organisational culture; bringing people with you; leading and managing high-performing teams; and communicating with impact.
Participants of the course gain new perspectives on management and leadership, allowing them to better understand the strategies and styles leaders can adopt and to propose new solutions which enhance organisational performance. The personalised learning model also means that assignments are directly linked to personal development goals and real workplace challenges.
The Women as Transformational Leaders course is accredited at Level 7, meaning participants who attend all sessions and complete the assignments can gain 10 credits towards a PG Certificate in Leadership and Management Practice. Further modules can be studied on-line on our flexible framework to complete this qualification.
Leanne Savage a hotel manager for Best Western Hotels, Nottingham and Derby recently attended the Women as Transformational Leaders course to help her to grow and develop in her role.
She found the content of the programme easy to apply to her role and was able to both refresh previous knowledge and skills and develop new ones. Leanne said, “I used certain areas of learning in an internal project to enhance our recruitment and onboarding process.”
She said, “it might feel out of your comfort zone, but once you get started, you’ll realise the value it can bring to your daily work requirements.”
