University College Birmingham (UCB) is an accredited Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP) Training Centre, giving us access to globally recognised expertise in sustainable leadership and practice.

The University is now mapping the West Midlands’ sustainability training needs to ensure our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) offer genuinely supports local organisations, as they adapt to a greener economy.

To ensure that OUR offer suits YOUR needs, we’re inviting businesses across the region to get in touch to tell us about the challenges they’re facing.

Across the region, sustainability is no longer optional; companies are re-designing supply chains to be responsible and resilient, they’re investing in renewable energy and embedding low‑carbon innovation into everyday operations, as part of a broader shift toward a greener, more competitive economy.

The transition to a sustainable economy will be secured through a strong collaboration between industry and education: networks such as the Midlands Green Innovation Network are helping SMEs upskill, the newly formed Green Skills Advisory Panel look to lead on collaborative working, while events like the Circular Economy UK Conference 2026, showcase the Midlands’ leadership in green innovation, and the future skills needed to power a circular and low‑carbon economy.
