Aston University’s Green Advantage Course Returns with Enhanced Content for January 2025

Aston University is excited to announce the return of its Green Advantage Programme in January 2025. This 12-week sustainability course, designed for business leaders, managers, and professionals, now features new workshops, expanded peer-learning opportunities, and increased one-to-one business support.

Green Advantage equips participants with the knowledge and tools to address climate and environmental challenges, all while boosting business performance and increasing profitability. Highlights include:

• Expert-Led Learning: Taught by industry experts and Aston University academics,  the course covers essential environmental sustainability topics relevant to today’s business landscape.
• Real-World Insights: Participants will hear how businesses are successfully navigating sustainability challenges and gain practical strategies for their own organisations.
• Bespoke Sustainability Roadmap: Attendees will build a tailored roadmap to achieve their sustainability goals.

The Green Advantage course has already delivered several highly successful cohorts since October 2022, with participating companies including Mars UK, Handelsbanken, National Grid, Shrewsbury Town Council, Mills & Reeve, and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, alongside many successful small businesses from across the West Midlands. From digital agencies and violinists to corporate manufacturers, businesses across many industries have already participated, proving that sustainability is a growing priority for all sectors.

The programme includes a welcome session, seven workshops, seven focus sessions, and up to eight hours of one-to-one coaching, all designed to fit around full-time work.

Eligibility
Applicants must be British nationals or UK residents (minimum three years), aged 19+, residing or working in The Black Country, Greater Birmingham and Solihull, or Coventry, and have responsibilities linked to sustainability. They must also not be enrolled in another government-funded programme.
