About this Event

This workshop has been organised in partnership with #ORANGEWOLVES for 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence, as The Haven Wolverhampton encourages employers to Orange The World for Safe Workplaces. 

 

Employers have a duty of care to employees and a legal responsibility to provide a safe and effective work environment. Preventing and tackling Domestic Abuse is an integral part of this.

 

This workshop is an introduction on how employers can respond appropriately to Domestic Abuse, and how the effects impact on the employee, colleagues and business.

 

The workshop will cover:

• The impact of Domestic Abuse on individuals;

• The impact of Domestic Abuse on businesses and the economy;

• How employers can recognise Domestic Abuse, respond to it and refer to support services;

• An overview of our support package and services.

15 minutes Q&A Session with facilitator to follow.

 

Facilitator: Rebecca Matthews is a Training Manager from The Haven Wolverhampton who holds a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (ProfGCE) qualification and has over twenty-five years of experience in delivering training courses and working with women and children who have experienced abuse.
