Leicester-based CEO Luke Tobin shortlisted for multiple industry awards

Leicester-based CEO Luke Tobin has been recently shortlisted for multiple awards from some of the business communities most recognisable ceremonies. 

Luke, who has made his name in Leicestershire as CEO of digital marketing company Digital Ethos, has been nominated for ‘LDC Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the British Business Excellence Awards. A further three nominations for Luke include ‘Service Industries Entrepreneur of the Year’, ‘Sustainability Entrepreneur of the Year’ and ‘Investor of the Year’ for Luke’s investment firm Tobin Capital at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. 

The British Business Excellence Awards is the UK’s largest awards programme which celebrates the best of British Business. These awards champion sustainability, diversity, equality and those that have transcended expectations and limitations throughout the year. 

“To be shortlisted for these awards means the world and it is so rewarding to see the company gain more recognition year on year”, Luke says, “Sustainability is a huge focus for me in all of the work that I do. Last year at Digital Ethos, we earned B-Corporation status meaning we are officially recognised as holding high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. To be shortlisted for Sustainability Entrepreneur of the Year, in particular, is an absolute honour.” 

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards acknowledges business leaders and entrepreneurs from all across the UK. This year’s judges include Michael Branney, Managing Director at Oh Polly, Thom Elliot, Co-Founder of Pizza Pilgrims and Celia Varet, Digital Impact and Sustainability Director at BT. 

The award nominations also mark the closure of a successful 12 months for Luke after Digital Ethos was acquired in a deal worth approximately £8 million in November 2022 by South American-based company Cadastra. 

Luke added: “I founded Digital Ethos in 2016 with just a £100 investment so to see how things have evolved since then is just extraordinary. We have a strong and talented team of over 50 employees, some working from overseas, and we started with just seven when the company was founded.
