Azets’ Nick Skidmore awarded the Ian Walker Medal

Azets, the UK’s largest regional accountancy and business advisors to SMEs, is pleased to announce that three advisors from its Midlands region have successfully passed their Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) exams, with Nick Skidmore from the Azets Walsall office winning the Ian Walker Medal.

The CTA qualification is the highest level tax qualification in the UK, awarded by the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT). The qualification requires seven modular exam passes and three years of professional experience.

The Ian Walker Medal is awarded to the candidate with the highest overall mark in the CTA Awareness Paper in the UK.

Clare Clifford, Regional Head of Tax at Azets, said: “This is the latest in a succession of exam successes at Azets and we’re all so proud of Nick for achieving the top mark nationally and setting a high bar for all CTA candidates. Nick is an extremely talented advisor and deserving of the prestigious Ian Walker Medal for his hard work and diligence.”

Diana Mamanova and Jasmine Hopkins also achieved passes in their CTA exams. Matthew Taylor passed the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) exam having joined Azets as graduate 12 months ago, with a view to completing the CTA exam next year.

Paul Clifford, Regional CEO at Azets, said: “Congratulations to Nick, Diana, Jasmine, and Matthew, who only recently joined the team. It’s another reminder of the vast talent we have within Azets, in the Midlands and nationally, and we look forward to supporting the continual professional development of all our advisors.”
